What to Request in a Load Button Calibration Record
A practical record checklist for sensor-only and paired readout orders, including conditions, force points and traceability evidence.
Identify the measurement chain
Record the sensor model, serial or lot, rated compression, drawing revision, cable and connector. For a paired kit, include the conditioner identifier, firmware or configuration, excitation, output mapping and filter settings. A replacement conditioner is a change to the measurement chain.
Specify the measurement conditions
Agree the force points, preload, loading and unloading sequence, dwell, number of cycles, temperature and fixture. Ask for actual readings, zero return, the calibration date and the responsible issuing organisation.
- State units as N, kgf or lbf.
- Distinguish non-linearity, hysteresis, repeatability and system error.
- Ask how the uncertainty applies over the requested force range.
Verify the traceability statement
Ask which reference standards were used, their identifiers, calibration dates and documented traceability chain. An accredited calibration needs an issuing laboratory and an applicable scope. Request the actual record for the supplied unit; a generic example does not establish traceability.
Use the document centre for the real deliverable
This checklist is guidance, not a calibration certificate or evidence of measured product performance. Send the model, force range, required points, environment and accreditation requirements through the document request form. Confirm availability and cost in the quotation.
